I created the brand guidelines for French Paper, including the new logo. When brainstorming, I tried to think of things that can be made solely with paper. Origami came to mind because its all about paper to create something new. I chose the logo to be a paper boat because I wanted to emphasize the environmentally friendly side of the company and their use of hydraulic energy. The colors I chose are in line with the current trend of bright and contrasting color palettes. I wanted the guidelines to have a welcoming voice and be fun to read. To accomplish this, I included filler pages with quotations and images to break up the information and make it more interesting.

The following part of the project involved creating a paper sample book to send out to potential customers to enable them to see and feel French Paper collections. We were encouraged to make the book as creative as possible. It did not have to be a typical sample book. We chose to highlight the Glo-Tone collection because it was bright. The vivid colors also reminded us of origami paper. We decided to play off our logo by creating an origami how-to book to encourage customers to touch and interact with the paper.
